Some people have left messages about naval ships in the bay... In 1965 or 1966 some friends and I were fortunate enough to be rescued from a rowing boat that was drifting out to sea(don't ask!) by HMS Zulu a naval destroyer anchored there as part of Civic Week. We were later invited back for a tour.
